OK, it has been a long while since new entries were made to this page, I fess up, I let it slip. The fact is that much has taken place in the last year (see the gigs page). We played some great shows, forged new alliances and underwent a personnel change. In February of '04 we landed a new vocalist, sweet swinging Earl "the Pearl" Harrell.

So, here we are in the midst of the holiday season, and what's that? You've got some stockings to stuff? Worry not, friend, the BCO store on cafepress.com might be just what you're looking for.

14.Dec.03
We just heard from the folks that run the Crab Cove concert series in Alameda, and we're slated to play there Friday July 9. This is a great gig for us, there's an elevated stage, serious sound equipment, and several restaurants and wineries set up shop peddling their treats. If you're not on the mailing list, email us right now and you'll get advance notice on future gigs.

As mp3.com dries up, we have a new location for downloading BCO music, soundclick.com. This is a site that Jeff's been using for a while, now you can hear our demo from 2002 by visiting http://www.soundclick.com/bands/8/thebobclaireorchestramusic.htm.

Meanwhile, Jeff is back from his lengthy East coast trip where he recorded with Will Ackerman of Windham Hill Records. The results are phenomenal! Hear if for yourself at http://www.soundclick.com/pro/?BandID=84597 - you'll dig it!

Bob Claire himself walked the parade on July 4 in Alameda, but he probably tripled the distance of the actual route as he criss-crosssed the streets glad-handing like a mayoral candidate, tossing candy and taking pitures. These are just a handful of his band candids: Ron, with Justin and Mike S.; Gail rides the flatbed; Darlene belts out a tune; Mike S. jammin in the sunshine; Mike B. & Colin blow up a storm; the truck on the roll; the Pretty Penny horns crank it up for the crowd.

Here are shots taken by Sandra: rolling down the road on the horn side, digging the signage and the rythm section on the other side of the truck, Pretty Penny Horn players Jeff & Mike B., the effusive Mike S. alongside Jeff, and finally Gail, (Colin, Mike B.) Ron, Rocky.

18.July.03
It was great seeing people wearing the offical line of BCO apparel at the Alameda July 4 parade. Get your own at our cafepress.com online store. By popular demand we've added the "classic thong" and some new t-shirt designs.

20.May.03
We've added a contact form to the site. A lot of interesting and supportive comments have come our way through that and the mailing list cards we hand out at gigs, when I get a chance I'll be posting more.

23.Apr.03
Wear your support!!
The official line of BCO apparel is now available through cafepress.com.
We've got a little something for everyone, including babseball jerseys, men's & ladies' tees, golf shirts and ladies' spaghetti strap top. All items are adorned with the Tuxedo & Martini logo. Some items are 2-sided, the baseball jersey is backed with #33, the men's tee has the logo small on the breast and large on the back.
